From the very first framing detail to the final layer of styling, this dining room was designed with intention at every turn.

Customized antique chairs, recovered in Pierre Frey’s Au Bord du Lac fabric to perfectly echo the wallpaper mural, a statement light fixture that quite literally stops you in your tracks, an architectural ceiling that adds depth and artistry〰️and a mural that feels like a living work of art. Every element thoughtfully curated to feel cohesive, timeless, and deeply personal.

This transformation is a true testament to honoring the details from the very beginning of the build all the way through final installation.

Because beautiful spaces aren’t rushed… they’re thoughtfully designed with vision, care, and craftsmanship.

It’s what gives a space its structure, proportion, and sense of intention. Thoughtfully designed trim defines sightlines, anchors wall height, and creates a rhythm that guides the eye through a home. It’s the difference between walls that feel flat… and walls that feel finished.

In spaces like stair halls and transitional moments, trim becomes even more important. Paneling adds scale. Crown molding softens vertical lines. Clean profiles allow the architecture to speak without overpowering the space. When done well, trim doesn’t demand attention〰️it elevates everything around it.

Some rooms beg you to slow down, and this one whispered from the very beginning.

I wanted this dining room to feel like a gathered moment, where history, texture, and a little bit of magic meet in the most effortless way. The moody walls wrap you in, the ceiling adds that quiet architectural drama, and then the mural… she became our muse.

We upholstered the vintage dining chairs in the same landscape pattern as the mural; a subtle, immersive layer that makes the whole room feel collected and softly storied. It’s one of my favorite ways to create cohesion without being too coordinated.

It’s a space meant for long dinners, candlelight, good conversation, and maybe a little lingering long after dessert.

The natural light, the collected textures, the softened silhouettes… every detail was chosen to invite you in and let you exhale. Nothing too precious, everything intentionally layered so it feels as welcoming on a Tuesday morning as it does during the holidays.

We reworked the room from the ground up: layered in sculptural forms, softened the palette with mineral tones, and added texture in every direction. That pendant? A little art moment overhead. Those pillows? Earthy hues to ground the airiness.
